USE OF PEAT IN AGRICULTURE

Peat is widely used in agriculture because of several reasons. Peat efficiently ensures nutrient circulation, maintains high soil fertility, plays an important role in the protection of the environment and health of the agricultural workers.

Over the recent years the use of peat in agriculture has gradually increased. Studies are being conducted to determine the specific qualities of the peat and new possibilities for use of it in other industries - energetics, chemical industry.
